Porcelain veneers are versatile, addressing the following issues:
Broken teeth.
Chipped teeth.
Cracked and fractured teeth.
Discolouration with individual teeth.
Small gaps between your teeth can be closed.
Misshapen teeth.
Porcelain veneers are renowned for their remarkable ability to replicate the look and translucency of natural teeth. These thin, custom-crafted shells fit snugly over the front surface of your teeth, effectively concealing a variety of imperfections—from chips and cracks to discoloration and uneven shapes.
Ideal for creating a flawless, balanced smile, porcelain veneers are typically applied to the upper front teeth, which are most visible when you smile. Whether you need to correct a single tooth or want a full smile makeover with six to eight veneers, our expert team ensures results that look stunning and feel natural.
We start by discussing your smile goals and assessing your facial features. Using advanced digital scanning, impressions, and smile simulation software, we create detailed 3D wax-up models to visualise your future smile. This allows you to preview and approve the design before any work begins.
To help you feel confident about your new look, we offer a trial smile — a temporary version of your veneers that you can try out. This lets you experience the aesthetics and function firsthand, giving you full control over the final appearance
Once you’re completely satisfied with the trial smile and the 3D wax-up model, you approve the design and we schedule the treatment.
At your next visit, we carefully prepare your teeth by removing a thin layer of enamel (about half a millimetre) to ensure the veneers fit perfectly. We then take precise impressions that are sent to our trusted dental laboratory to fabricate your custom porcelain veneers.
When your veneers are ready, we meticulously bond them to your teeth, making any final adjustments to ensure a comfortable bite and natural appearance.
Before treatment, your dentist will review your oral health via X-rays and clinical examination to ensure your teeth and gums are healthy enough for veneers. In some cases, orthodontic treatment might be recommended prior to veneer placement to optimise tooth alignment.

Porcelain veneers are superior to composite veneers for restoring unsightly teeth. Porcelain is the closest match to real tooth enamel, capturing its translucency almost perfectly.
Porcelain Veneers are a long-lasting solution that looks completely natural.
Yes. We can perform a smile makeover with veneers to improve the appearance of your whole smile. This involves using digital planning software to capture the precise measurements of your mouth. We can then work to design individual veneers that will sit together to create a proportioned, healthy-looking and aesthetic result.
Mild cases of crooked and misaligned teeth can be solved with veneers. However, if you wish to make a more significant difference to the way your teeth sit in your mouth, you may wish to consider our orthodontic treatment options here at Westmount Dental.
Porcelain veneers go beyond teeth whitening treatment in their ability to whiten your teeth. If you are looking for the whitest shade possible for your teeth, we recommend opting for porcelain veneers.
You will need to meet the following criteria prior to having porcelain veneers:
Healthy teeth and gums.
X-ray to check the supporting structures in your mouth are healthy.
No missing teeth or restorations (crowns and veneers) or failing fillings.
No substantial gaps between your teeth.
No considerable structural damage to individual teeth (must have no more than a quarter of a tooth missing).
Relatively well-aligned teeth.
Porcelain veneers are the premium choice of the two treatments. However, we recommend composite veneers as an entry-level treatment for patients who have not had a veneer before. Composite is also more suitable when there is less damage present, as it is not as restorative as porcelain veneers.
Unlike composite veneers, porcelain veneers are not prone to staining. However, you will still need to adhere to a healthy diet if you wish to keep your veneer in good condition for a number of years.
Your porcelain veneers are created by taking photographs and scans of your teeth. You will be shown a state-of-the-art 3D model of what your smile will look like once the porcelain veneers have been fitted (this is what makes the outcome so predictable). During the design phase, we will make any necessary adjustments to the shape and shade and make sure you are happy with the proposed cosmetic outcome.
When your porcelain veneer has been created by our talented cosmetic dental technician, we will ask you to come in and see us so that the adhesive can be applied. To place the porcelain veneer, we will need to remove some natural tooth structure so that there is sufficient surface area to place it over the top. Your Porcelain Veneer is then firmly adhered to the tooth.
