A dental bridge is a custom-made restoration provided at Westmount Dental that replaces one or more missing teeth. It uses neighbouring teeth or implants for support and fills the gap with an artificial tooth that looks and feels natural.
Missing teeth can affect more than just your smile—they can impact your bite, speech, and oral health. At Westmount Dental, we offer custom-made dental bridges to seamlessly replace missing teeth, restoring both function and appearance for a confident, natural-looking smile.
A dental bridge is a reliable, fixed solution for one or more missing teeth. Unlike removable dentures, bridges are securely anchored to your existing teeth or dental implants, offering:
Restored chewing and speaking ability
Even bite distribution to protect surrounding teeth
Prevention of teeth shifting into gaps
A natural look and feel designed to blend seamlessly with your smile
Long-lasting results with proper care and maintenance
Every smile is unique, which is why we provide a range of bridge options tailored to your needs:
Traditional Bridges – The most common type, anchored to crowns on the teeth either side of the gap. Strong and reliable for replacing one or more teeth.
Cantilever Bridges – Used when there’s only one supporting tooth next to the missing space. Ideal in specific cases where full support isn’t possible.
Maryland (Resin-Bonded) Bridges – A more conservative option, using a metal or porcelain framework bonded to the backs of adjacent teeth. Often used for front teeth.
Implant-Supported Bridges – Anchored directly to dental implants for maximum stability and longevity, especially when multiple teeth are missing.
1. Consultation & Oral Health Check
We begin with a detailed examination of your teeth and gums to confirm you’re a good candidate for a bridge. Any issues, such as decay or gum disease, are treated first.
2. Tooth Preparation
The teeth adjacent to the gap (abutment teeth) are carefully prepared to support the bridge.
3. Digital Impressions & Design
Using advanced digital scanning, we capture precise images of your teeth to design a bridge that fits comfortably and looks natural.
4. Temporary Bridge
While your permanent bridge is being created in our in-house dental laboratory, we fit a temporary bridge to protect your prepared teeth.
5. Fitting Your Custom Bridge
Once ready, your permanent bridge is securely fitted and adjusted for comfort, function, and appearance.
6. Review & Aftercare
We schedule a follow-up appointment to ensure your bridge feels comfortable, functions well, and matches your natural smile.
Wide choice of bridge types tailored to your needs
Custom-designed for a natural, aesthetic result
Restores confidence in smiling, speaking, and eating
Prevents shifting and misalignment of remaining teeth
Long-lasting, durable solution supervised by experienced professionals
Don’t let missing teeth hold you back. Restore your smile’s full function and beauty with a custom dental bridge.

A dental bridge is a custom-made restoration provided at Westmount Dental that replaces one or more missing teeth. It uses neighbouring teeth or implants for support and fills the gap with an artificial tooth that looks and feels natural.
We provide a full range of bridges, including traditional bridges anchored to natural teeth, cantilever bridges supported on one side, Maryland bridges that use metal or ceramic wings, and implant-supported bridges for maximum strength and stability.
At Westmount Dental, our bridges are crafted using high-quality materials and digital technology. With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, your bridge can last 10–15 years or even longer.
Yes. Every bridge at Westmount Dental is designed to match the exact shape, size, and shade of your natural teeth, so your new smile blends in seamlessly.
A bridge not only restores your ability to chew and speak properly but also prevents neighbouring teeth from shifting, helps maintain your facial shape, and improves your confidence with a natural-looking smile
The process usually involves two stages. At your first appointment at Westmount Dental, we will prepare the supporting teeth (or implants) and take digital scans or impressions. Once your custom bridge is crafted, you’ll return for a fitting to ensure comfort, precision, and the best possible result.
No. At Westmount Dental, we use local anaesthetic to ensure you are completely comfortable during treatment. Some mild sensitivity may occur afterwards, but this usually passes quickly.
Caring for your bridge is straightforward. Brush twice a day, floss daily (special floss or interdental brushes may be recommended), attend regular check-ups, and avoid chewing on very hard foods to keep your bridge in excellent condition
Westmount Dental believe everybody deserves a smile that they can be proud of. And since 2007, we’ve helped more than 100,000+ patients achieve a smile that they love. But don’t take our word for it, press play and listen to what our patients have to say about their experience!
